A guest asks for Joe at 8:30. Joe's shift starts at 9:00. Until now the front desk had to pick someone else, or ask the guest to wait. In Kuee 4.44, the web app lets you book a therapist who is Off schedule. The time list marks those times, and before the booking is saved you see that they are outside their shift — then you can Create anyway.

Walk-in and kiosk bookings no longer send a confirmation text, because the guest is already at the desk. When two people try to take the same time at once, the guest is told the system is busy and can tap again; the time is still free.

Book a therapist who is Off schedule

Saturday morning a regular walks in and asks for Joe. Joe does not start until 9:00, and the guest does not want a substitute. You can still put Joe on the booking.

How to book it

  1. On Appointment, tap Book. Add Appointments opens.
  2. Choose Walk-in or Customer.
  3. Tap Add service, pick the service, then pick the therapist.
  4. Open the start time list. After a therapist is selected, the list is titled Start time · Joe's shift shown. Times outside that shift show Off schedule and stay tappable — in the screenshot, 01:45 is marked Off schedule.
  5. Pick the time, pick a room, tap Review 1 appointment · $120, then Confirm & create 1.
  6. Review shows Therapist Joe is outside their shift at 01:45:00-02:45:00 (Saturday) and Time conflicts detected. Do you still want to continue creating the appointment? Tap Create anyway · 1 appointment to save, or Back to edit to change the time or the therapist.

Anyone who can create appointments at the front desk can do this. There is no setting to turn it off: Off schedule times stay in the list so you can choose them, and the warning is the check before saving.

In the therapist picker, people who are off shift at the chosen time sit under Off schedule, grouped with that time, with Starts and the time they come on on the card.

Day to day

  • Off schedule is the therapist's own shift. After hours is the store being closed. A time can show both; they are not the same thing.
  • Your online booking page and the AI phone still only offer times when that therapist is on shift. Guests cannot book Off schedule themselves.
  • A walk-in at the desk is the usual place this shows up: the guest is here, the named therapist is not on yet, and you decide to start anyway.

Good to know

  • The warning is a soft check. Create anyway saves the booking. A room that is already full, or a time that cannot be booked at all, still blocks.

Smaller improvements

  • iPad AI chat and the store plan: when staff open Kuee Brain from the iPad, the chat now sees your store's plan. Before, a signed-in iPad was treated as a guest for that check, so some plan questions failed.

On the iPad front desk in the next app update

  • Off schedule: the same time list, the Off schedule group in the therapist picker, and the same warning before saving.
  • Enter a custom tip at checkout, so a guest can type an amount that is not one of the preset buttons.
  • Intake Selected areas on the body map, from the snapshot the guest submitted. If there is no snapshot, the app says so and redraws from the selected areas.

Fixes you may notice

  • Walk-in and kiosk: a booking created as Walk-in or from the self check-in screen no longer sends a booking confirmation text. The guest is already in the store.
  • Two people booking at once: if the system is busy taking the lock, the guest is told it is busy and can tap again. The time is still available. Before, that looked like the slot had been taken.
