Is Square Appointments really free?
The Free plan covers a single user with basic scheduling and Square Pay processing at standard rates (2.6% + $0.15 in-person). It is genuinely free to subscribe, but you pay processing fees on every transaction and miss multi-staff features. The Plus plan ($49/mo per location) is what most growing studios actually run on.
Can I keep using Square Pay if I switch to Kuee?
Not directly. Kuee uses Stripe Terminal as its native processor. If your average rate on Square is meaningfully better than Stripe's, run the math — Square Plus at 2.5% in-person can beat Stripe Terminal's ~2.7% for high-volume single-location stores.
Does Kuee replace Square POS entirely?
For spa and clinic operations, yes. Kuee handles checkout, package sales, gift cards, and Stripe Terminal hardware. If you also run a retail product wing or restaurant, Square remains stronger there.
How does AI compare?
