1Start the day: name and PIN
This tutorial covers what the front desk does on the iPad once guests arrive: check-in, walk-ins and switching operators. It starts at opening time. The store account signs in once; after that the iPad stays on this account picker. Each staff member taps their name and enters a 4-digit PIN to open the front desk. Everything they do afterwards is recorded under their name. A first-time user sets a PIN by entering it twice. A wrong PIN shows how many tries are left; too many in a row locks the PIN for a while. Only staff with front-desk access are listed. To let a therapist use the desk, an owner or admin taps "Add staff", verifies their own identity and grants access.
▶ Play from this scene2Guest arrives: check in
A guest arrives. Tap their card on the timeline and "Appointment Details" opens on the right with the service, therapist, time and notes. Tap "Check In" to open "Confirm Check-in". The top row is the booked time; below it is the actual start, which defaults to now. Tap "Check in". The booking turns "In Progress" right away and the card corner shows the in-progress mark. There is no separate "start service" or "end service" button on the iPad: check-in starts the service, and when it is done you go straight to checkout.
▶ Play from this scene3Late or early: move to the actual start
This guest is fifteen minutes late. At check-in, tap "Actual start" and set the time the service really starts. A hint shows how many minutes late it is and where the booking will move. The length stays the same; the whole block shifts. After check-in the card moves and shows the original time. If the move would overlap another booking for the same therapist or room, you are warned first and must confirm. The actual start can only be today and not later than now. A booking on another day can't be checked in; move it to today first.
Stores, clients and amounts in the tutorials are demo data. Some features need a particular plan or must be turned on for your store; the tutorial says so when it comes up. Didn’t find an answer? See the FAQ · contact us
