1Where payment settings live
Payment settings live in System Settings: under Store & Operations in the left rail, click Payment Settings. Six sub-pages open below it, from Overview to Pricing. Only the owner and admins can see this. When front desk staff open System Settings, Payment Settings isn’t in the list. Overview starts with your payment status: who processes your cards, and whether it says Accepting Payments. Below are today’s revenue and count, then four cards that open each sub-page. Stores on Stripe also see an orange card at the bottom for applying to Fiserv processing, with pricing quoted per store. You keep taking payments with Stripe while you apply.

If the store has no payment account yet, Payment Channel shows this card. Click Connect Stripe to go to Stripe and enter your business and bank details. When you finish and come back to Kuee, the top of the page says Account setup successful! and the card shows Accepting Payments. Your payment account is now connected. Below are the business name, account email, country and settlement. The settlement period comes from your Stripe account; this store settles T+2. Open Stripe dashboard opens the Stripe dashboard in a new tab. If details are missing, this turns into a yellow “Your Stripe account isn't fully set up” panel that lists what’s needed. Click Continue Setup to finish on Stripe; you can’t take card payments until then.
▶ Play from this scene3Add a card reader
Open Readers and click Add Reader. There are just two fields: the registration code from the reader or the Stripe Dashboard, and a name you’ll recognize. Once added, it appears in the list with its model, serial number and Online. The store address Stripe needs is filled in automatically from your store info. To rename it, click Edit, then Save. If the status looks wrong, click Refresh status at the top right to sync again.
▶ Play from this scene4Reader idle screen
Click Idle screen on the reader to change what it shows while idle. Auto Generate makes a green screen with your logo and store name; you can also upload an image at the required size. Click Apply to all readers of this model; readers update within a few minutes. As the button says, the screen goes to every reader of this model in the store, not just this one.
▶ Play from this scene5Set up tips
Open Tips & more. With Reader tips on, customers pick a tip on the reader before paying. Options can be percentages or fixed amounts. Change the three options from 15, 18 and 20 to 18, 20 and 25. The reader preview on the right updates: on an $80 bill you can see what each option adds. Click Save; it reaches all readers within a few minutes. The reader always also offers Custom Amount and No Tip.
▶ Play from this scene6Pricing: cash discount
Pricing decides how card fees are built into your prices; you pick one of three. It’s on No markup now: the store absorbs card fees and customers pay the listed price. Choose Cash discount. Remember: the service prices you enter are cash prices, and the card price is 3% higher by default. A $100 cash price becomes a $103 card price; paying cash costs $3 less. The right side shows what the front desk sees at checkout. Once on, the booking page, website and AI booking cards show card prices. First, post a cash discount notice at the entrance and the checkout; click Print the notice to print one. Click Save and cash discount is on. It needs no processor setup, and debit cards pay the card price too. The other option is Credit card surcharge (credit only): it adds a fee on credit cards only, up to 3% in the US, never on debit, and only Stripe and Fiserv stores can turn it on. Customers see the surcharge notice on the tip screen before the card is read. Surcharge and cash discount can’t both be on.
▶ Play from this scene7No-show fees, auto checkout and transactions
Back in Tips & more, scroll down to No-show fee. Turn it on, keep the fixed amount of $25, and click Save. Once on, customers booking online must save a card first. When you mark an appointment as a no-show, the fee is charged to that card. Bookings made by the front desk or the AI phone don’t require a card. Next to it is Auto checkout. Turn on Auto checkout after service ends: if a checked-in appointment is never checked out, Kuee waits ten minutes after the service ends and checks it out at the list price, without a tip. Transactions lists recent payments. Search by customer or order number, filter by the last 7, 30 or 90 days, or Export them. You can’t refund here; refunds are done in Order Management. To see when money reaches your bank, open Payouts in Order Management. That covers payment settings: the payment account, readers, tips, pricing, no-show fees, auto checkout and transactions.
