1Four roles, four menus
Kuee has four fixed roles: Owner, Admin, Front Desk and Member. What each role sees is set by the system and can’t be customized; your job is to give each person the right role. Owners and Admins see the same menu, including Business Data, Staff Performance and System Settings. Only billing and transferring ownership are owner-only. Front Desk sees appointments, customers, messages, orders and the marketing assistant, but not Business Data, Staff Performance or System Settings. When they open the store, they land on Appointment. Members only have Home, Kuee Market, About This Store and My Profile, and land on My Profile. Therapists do their work on the iPad. Therapist isn’t a role. It’s a separate switch in staff details, covered in the Staff & Scheduling lesson.
▶ Play from this scene2Pick the role when inviting
Choose the role when you invite someone. In System Settings › Staff Management, click Invite staff and enter the phone number of Grace, the new front desk hire. There are four role cards, with Member selected by default. Grace works the front desk, so choose Front Desk, then click Send SMS invitation. The invite shows up in the list until she accepts. Admins can invite people too, but they can’t invite an Owner.
▶ Play from this scene3Change someone’s role
Kelly has done well at the front desk and is moving up to Admin. Click her row to open her details; Role is at the top of Profile. Transfer ownership, just below, hands the owner identity to this person. Only the primary owner can do it. There are only three cards here: Admin, Front Desk and Member. Choose Admin, then click Save at the bottom; the change takes effect only then. Kelly now shows as Admin in the list. The next time she loads a page, she gets the Admin menu. Open your own details and the role cards are greyed out: you can’t change your own role or the primary owner’s here.
Stores, clients and amounts in the tutorials are demo data. Some features need a particular plan or must be turned on for your store; the tutorial says so when it comes up. Didn’t find an answer? See the FAQ · contact us
